Novack and Macey represented the plaintiff in this RICO action. The decision is noteworthy because it represented the first time after the Supreme Court's landmark 1989 pattern decision in HJ, Inc. v. Northwestern Bell that the Seventh Circuit held that a RICO plaintiff had adequately alleged a pattern of racketeering activity. After the appellate victory, the case proceeded to jury trial and our client obtained a settlement after the first week of trial.
