Andrew Fleming, John Shonkwiler and Louis Szura of Novack and Macey LLP, together with co-counsel Baniak Pine & Gannon, obtained judgment on all counts in a patent and trademark infringement case for their clients, Defendants PFE International Limited and PFE International, Inc. Plaintiffs brought their claims to a bench trial in September 2005 before Judge Ruben Castillo of the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois. At the close of Plaintiffs’ case-in-chief, Novack and Macey moved for judgment on all counts and the Court interrupted the trial for briefing and a decision on the motion. On December 5, 2005, the Court granted the motion and awarded judgment to PFE. Plaintiffs had alleged eleven counts of patent and trademark infringement and sought injunctive relief and millions of dollars in damages.
