Novack and Macey Wins Dismissal in Software License and Copyright Dispute

Monte Mann and Kristen Werries Collier defeated a multimillion dollar breach of license and copyright infringement action brought against several of the firm's clients in the insurance industry. In particular, on June 18, 2008, Judge Charles Norgle of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois granted our clients' Motion to Dismiss for Lack of Personal Jurisdiction in this controversy, which concerns software used to process insurance claims. In securing the victory, Mann and Collier worked closely with co-counsel Mark Peterson and Nora Kane of the Omaha office of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP.
