John Haarlow, Jr. concentrates his practice in civil litigation, corporate governance, corporate law and non-patent law intellectual property. He helped represent FOX News in successfully defeating an attempt by the Chicago Tribune to prevent it from using the name "Red Eye" for its late night television news show. He is also involved in representing Destiny's Child (Beyonce Knowles, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland) in defense against copyright infringement allegations.
John also is involved in the firm's representation of the Office of the Governor in a case concerning allegations of hiring on the basis of political affiliation in the State Departments of Transportation and Corrections.
John is a member of the American Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. Before joining the firm, John served as a clerk for Senior District Judge Suzanne B. Conlon of the Northern District of Illinois and was an associate at Jenner and Block. John was born in Hinsdale, Illinois in 1977. He currently resides in Chicago with his wife, Courtney.
