Alison Schwartz

BIOGRAPHY

Alison Talbert Schwartz represents a variety of clients, including privately owned family businesses, real estate developers and brokers, manufacturers, energy companies, publicly-held companies and individuals. She is experienced in matters concerning fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, director and officer liability, products liability, commercial breach of contract, and agency liability, among others.

Representing Mirant Corporation and affiliated entities, Alison deposed adverse witnesses, handled witness preparation and electronic discovery, drafted briefs, and participated in successful settlement talks. She also contributed to the firm's representation of Chicago real estate developer Paul Beitler in a dispute with Howard Milstein, a New York real estate developer and bank owner. She helped draft circuit court and appellate court briefs, providing analysis of complex issues regarding fiduciary duties, contributing to the firm's defeat of the claim against Mr. Beitler.

Alison is a member of the Chicago Bar Association. She was a judicial extern for The Honorable Ruben Castillo in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 1997. Alison was an associate with Jenner & Block prior to coming to the firm.

Born in Chicago in 1974, Alison currently lives in the city with her husband, David, and son, Abraham.
