BIOGRAPHY


Don Tarkington serves as managing partner of Novack and Macey.

In addition to the areas of concentration listed above, Don has experience in matters involving questions of professional malpractice, construction disputes, commercial leasing, bankruptcy and insurance coverage, among others.

Don was born in Evanston, Illinois in 1956. He and his wife, Peggy, have three children and reside in Evanston. Don served as a member of the Board of Education for the Evanston/Skokie Consolidated School District 65 where he chaired the finance committee. He also served as co-chairman of the District 65 Referendum Committee and is the immediate Past President of the District 65 Educational Foundation. Don also serves on the Board of Directors for the McGaw YMCA.

Don is a member of the American Bar Association.

  • Northwestern University (J.D. 1983); first place, Miner Moot Court Competition; William Jennings Bryan Award and Lowden-Wigmore Prize for excellence in oral and written advocacy; represented Northwestern University Law School in the National Moot Court Competition
