Givonna L. Long concentrates her practice in commercial litigation. She has represented a wide range of clients in disputes involving such issues as breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, securities fraud, and breaches of non-competition, non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements.
Ms. Long has extensive experience representing clients before industry arbitration panels. She recently successfully defended a CEO against allegations of securities and common law fraud, piercing the corporate veil and breach of contract in an action before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, stemming from an agreement to purchase the controlling interest in a publicly held corporation.
Before becoming a lawyer, Ms. Long was a police officer in Evanston, Illinois. Prior to joining Novack and Macey, Ms. Long was an associate at Steptoe & Johnson LLP in Chicago.
